A Day of Eco-Fun at Abbey Farm Primary!

We had a fantastic day at Abbey Farm Primary School, bringing a splash of seaside spirit and environmental action to the classroom and beyond! 🌊🌍

The morning kicked off with a fun and interactive workshop all about litter and how long it sticks around in our environment. The children were amazing, full of great guesses and questions as they matched everyday rubbish to their decomposition times. Spoiler alert: that plastic bottle might still be hanging around when they’re grandparents!

After lunch, we headed out to the school field for a good old-fashioned litter pick. Armed with grabbers and gloves, the pupils became eco-heroes, collecting everything from sweet wrappers to mystery bits of plastic. It was brilliant to see everyone working together and taking such pride in making their space cleaner and greener. Together we collected up 4.27 kilos of lightweight plastics, an amazing achievement!

A big thank you to Abbey Farm Primary for having us—we loved your energy, enthusiasm, and brilliant eco-questions. We hope you’re all feeling inspired to keep making a difference!
