Swansea Students Tackle Beach (Again)!

This year we returned to Swansea Beach for another clean with students from Gower College, totaling 31 volunteers on this exciting clean!

Despite the gloomy weather, the students’ enthusiasm was truly commendable as they gave their time and energy to help clean up Swansea Beach. Collecting an impressive 44.52 kilos of litter, their efforts clearly paid off and added meaningful value to their public service course.

It’s also worth highlighting that they filled 28 bags, showing just how much of an impact their cleanup had. Spending over two hours on the task reflects their strong commitment to protecting the environment and keeping the beach clean and safe for everyone to enjoy. There was a variety of different litter cleared from the beach by the volunteers, including bits of fishing rope and small plastic items like bottle caps.

We would like to say a big thank you to all the volunteers for their invaluable efforts in making Swansea beach a cleaner and safer place for everyone to enjoy. This clean adds to our total of 3921 kilos of litter collected from the environment.
